Round Three
Both men turned it up a notch and Rory looked to hit a homer for the crowd.

2.34: Carlos shoved Rory down and pounded from half guard.  Carlos realized it was easier to go ballistic against his opponent than to cop an ear bashing from Greg Jackson in his corner, and pummeled Rory through the floor.  Kevin Doran saw Rory’s bulging right eye and called off the fight – better to be safe than sorry when a player’s eye sight is concerned.
This was a great battle by both men.

Mirko Cro Cop (6’2” 235) vs. Pat Barry (5’11” 248)
Heavyweight
Referee: Yves Lavigne

Mirko Cro Cop vs. Pat Barry-knucklepit review

Round One
Pat is in orthodox and Mirko is very much in southpaw.  Pat immediately hurls a straight right, but Mirko sees it coming and pushes Pat away.
4.39: Pat inside-kicks.
4.26: He knocks Mirko down with an overhand right, sees it doesn’t have too big an impact, and waits for Mirko to return to his feet.  Pat drops his hands to taunt Mirko and delivers leg kicks.
3.26: Cro Cop fires off a side kick and a hook kick; however Barry sees them coming and steps out of range.
3.20: Cro Cop lands a less-telegraphic leg kick.
3.16: Barry returns it.
2.58: Barry knocks Cro Cop down with a right hook and waits for him to stand.  Barry is switching stance; however he’s mainly unloading from orthodox.
1.44: Barry leg-kicks.
1.10: They clinch and Mirko takes Pat down – possibly to protect the left side of his face which is angrily swelling up.  They spring back to their feet and separate.

Round Two
4.48: Mirko high-kicks.
4.42: And again.
4.37: Mirko unleashes a big kick to the body.
4.33: He forces Pat across the Octagon with a salvo of punches.
3.48: They clinch and Mirko slams hammer-fists into Pat’s left thigh.

Mirko’s attacking game is like Superfoot Wallace’s: You know his strikes are going to come from the same side of his body, but you’re not sure which weapon he’s going to use.
